Camping Koula and Aqua Cafe, Paros

By - Posted on 03 June 2011

If you bring a tent to Greece, you can camp out in the Islands on a budget. I just spent a week on the island of Paros in a great campground called Camping Koula. It's not far from the ferry port, right across the road from the beach in the main town on Paros, Parikia.

They have a nice camping area, clean bathrooms, and a great cafe (Aqua Cafe) on the beach, with free WiFi:

My favorite thing about this campground is the Aqua Cafe. The people are very friendly, the WiFi connection is good, and there are many power outlets to plug in a laptop. The prices are very good compared to most cafes in the town, and the food is delicious. (Try the omelette with everything in it.)

This was my view for the past week while updating our websites:

If you go to Paros, check it out -- highly recommended!

I stayed at Camping Koula in 1983 and 1990. The family was incredibly warm and accommodating. I even worked in the café for a few weeks. I totally loved being there. I met so many wonderful people there and recently connected with an Aussie camper on facebook. What a great place to stay! Everything is right on your doorstep, including the beach. I highly recommend this campsite.
